Before you pass judgment, you should do your homework and look at this country's history. I'm one of those "tea baggers" from Atlanta. The purpose of the protest was to voice our opinion about wasteful spending and high taxes, not to "stop the federal government from doing anything." We are not opposed to paying our fair share of taxes. We stand for people taking personal responsibility. If it weren't for free market capitalism, none of us would have jobs. How do you think the upper 5% got their money, the majority of those people worked hard for what they have and they pay the majority of the taxes collected by the federal government. Personally, I have been hit very hard by the economic crisis, my business went under and I have lost two jobs in the last two years but I don't expect the government nor the taxpayers to bail me out. Bad things happen to good people and we have to pick ourselves up by the boot straps and keep going. That is what I mean about personal responsibility. When your grandchildren are adults trying to make their way in this world, ask them how they feel about paying back the trillions of dollars the government is borrowing now.
