I agree with some of what you've said, well most. I do think that the government involved in banking and auto industries is not in the country's best interest. Government help is fine in the short haul, but it never ends there. Any "help" the government gives ALWAYS becomes long term. FDR started so many entitlement programs that were meant to get us out of the depression, short term fixes that are still here today. Once the government gets involved they ultimately will screw it up with red tape and nonsense. That goes for both sides! You all know that I'm a hard core conservative, but both parties got us here. This administration just seems like they want to take us farther and keep us there.
