Payment was never a problem for us....Making them leave us alone so we could get some work done WAS the problem!  I've worked with ServiceLink twice and severed the relationship twice.  There is no such thing as 4 hour turn times in Michigan.  Maybe a couple of counties with on-line capabilities have abstractors who can turn things that quickly, but most of our work is in places with populations of 2 in the winter and 6 in the summer.  (OK...so I'm exagerating)  If you work alone and can ignore your phone, you should be ok.  But don't think you can tell them "You'll have this work back late tomorrow afternoon" because they'll end up calling you 4 times before that deadline.  They seem to completely ignore whatever you say and call you per THEIR schedule which has no base in the reality of any particular state.
