I am in the same situation here in Virginia; however, I do have a minimum amount that I must remit each month.  Over the past 19 years I have been an EXCLUSIVE agent for them, I have ALWAYS remitted at least 3 times, some times much more than 3 times, my minimum. We all have been hit hard by the drop in home sales and the economy in general and our income has been reduced - here almost to nothing.  I think it's just a "corporate thing" to terminate someone who has worked very hard to help make a corporation successful.  This is their way of "weeding out" the small agencies - they don't need us anymore!  I am extremely lucky that another company accepted me with open arms and I still have my SMALL hometown agency!  I wish you all the luck I'm sure you deserve!
