Like most of the others, it seems to me that 'A' would be the correct answer.  What seems odd to me is that the cyclist's lien was not dealt with (paid) as a condition of either mortgage.  Also, there is no indication that the cyclist was even named as an interested party in the foreclosure suit.  The cyclist's lien seems to be ignored throughout the story.
