If you have NO title abstracting experience, in the current environment you may not find anyone who wants to hire you.
I assume that you already checked out your cost for liability insurance as an inexperienced abstractor. As an independent you'll need proof of insurance high enough to cover your "errors" (hopefully none) and, if you're an employee, your employer will need to add you on to their insurance (probably at an increased cost because of your lack of experience).
Before you leap off this cliff, call a few of the title insurance companies in this state and ask, "Are you hiring title abstractors? Are you hiring title abstractors with no experience or do you have a training program for me?"
