You also have companies like First American (they have a campus in California) building a humongous title plant (I think the property sits on 1-2 city blocks) and I believe they were the first nation wide title company to open offices over seas.
They have the financial resources to do this.
I am just glad that the majority of the counties I cover are not on line and will more than likely never be on line.
Even though I now live in Florida it is not one of the states that I cover because 3/4 or more of it is on line.
Unfortunately I think it will require huge flaps in these on line counties, like a politician realizing his deed and mortgages are available on line with his ss# on them, to get them taken off. This happened in Iowa and in Suffolk county NY.
