Ron: I have done almost all of my searching in the Northern Virginia area and it is customary NOT to pay for cases that fall through or cancel- I have always just let them go- NOW- there are some attorneys that do a very good job of just NOT paying- they come up with excuses, didn't settle, case never closed- but when one does some follow up- it DID close and they just embezzled the the money- I have had to cut off on such Law firm- that admonished me for even questioning their professional ethics!! what a raft of lies- they stole the money and hid behind their alleged "ethics"
and they write for Stewart title- they are all part of the scheme I believe.
