Yes, after a short time they let me use the public terminal. I think they were uncomfortable about the exchange  that was happening at the counter. I was very unhappy and let them know it. It was a matter of principle. I felt they did not have the right to charge me or anyone else  a fee- even a penny. This is the same office that has a little character holding a sign that reads " I can already visualize the duct tape over your mouth".  There were literally 3 staff members sitting and just chatting with each other. I guess this incident was the proverbial straw that broke my back. I really hope that someone knows the actual legality of this "search" charge
