I agree Clanci! lol.  What really gets me going is the fact that a notary signing agent gets $125.00 per closing to go and notarize documents with 0 liability and it takes them about 1/2 hour to do a closing.  A title searcher in CT has to beg to get $75.00 a search plus copy costs and we have all the liablity and have to carry a 1,000,000 E&O policy just in case.  It really should be the other way around. I just dont understand when and how Title Searching became such an "easy" job - or it seems that the banks think it is .. hard ball is what needs to be done.  Bring the price up to where it should be.  If they can't get it cheaper then they will have to pay the experience searcher the money!
