I have to agree with David. I understand your thought process of we are losing work to foreign companies since I have worked with some out of the country companies, but my local clients none of whom use any overseas processing or assistance have found it much more cost effective to do searches online themselves in house. Leaving my company to do the odd counties that don't offer online or not much online. I predicted this was going to happen when we never ever had to go to the main MN county anymore for any reason except certified copies. I'm unsure the year but had to be in the early 2000's. Yes major national companies are outsourcing overseas but in my area I don't see any local title companies using overseas companies for anything. Everyone is watching the bottom line these days especially on our abstracting end of the business. We have been the ones who constantly have to lower prices to compete, yet our cost of business just keeps grown. We are one of the most important sides of real estate but get paid the least, it's been that way for at least 15 years now. I'm not sure how we adjust but hopefully we all survive this tough time.
