You can make the same argument with just about any human activity. And if the government starts "supplementing some of the cost of insurance", then "everyone else" will end up paying for it anyway. How long will it be then, before the government starts dictating to people like our friend Slade, who likes rock climbing, that his activities are "too risky" and that he's not allowed to do that anymore?
