Thanks for sharing that with me, I appreciate your insights. I haven't read Caplan's full piece yet, but your article did make some interesting observations. It would be interesting to explore some of the reasons behind the biases that Caplan cites. My personal theory is that the popular perception of political issues like the economy or healthcare is shaped by the entertainment industry and the MSM. I'm reminded of that every time I watch an episode of "Law & Order" or "Boston Legal." It's not so much that people are necessarily ignorant, just misinformed, IMHO. I think that most people get so busy raising families and living their daily lives that it's hard for them to focus on the issues to the same degree that you and I do.
