The only way I can answer that is that the people can only vote for whomever is on the ballot, which you have to admit doesn't leave us a lot of options.  Like most other folks, I'm tired of having to choose from the lesser of two evils.  My track record for predicting election results is pretty poor, but I'd like to think that maybe this time the people will make their voices heard and demand better choices of candidates.
