If I am not mistaken, NREIS and ERES are or were owned by HSBC Bank (Hong Kong Singapore Banking Corporation ?) and that HSBC got out of the mortgage business last year.  Maybe these two are trying to make it on their own now either as a separate entity or as part of HSBC by contracting out to other vendors, institutions etc....who knows.  I think ERES closed recently but they did have the same vendor manager and the same excuses.  Conjecture on my part...anyone out there know "the real story" ?.  If I am mistaken then feel free to fill in the spaces and correct me.
