We were willing to give it a shot. At first. Technology is expensive and $3 is no big add-on IF in the big picture, you're getting lots more work AND being paid for it. Someone has to invest in the big tech and most of us can't go to that level. It's all numbers and if it brings "so" many more orders, it's no big deal in the whole scheme of things. Kind of like reducing your price for volume work.
We've personally invested in quite a bit of technology (though we don't pass it on to the independents) so I looked into their site a bit more. I was going to put us in for a month in some of our areas so I could make an informed decision.
Like others have said, I don't like the idea that they bill themselves as some kind of hub for everyone but don't guarantee payment from their clients while expecting their fee from us up front but we were willing to give it a brief shot. Worst case we lose $30 and learn our lesson. I've been burned worse.
For a company that is so "technologically advanced"... it irritated me (trying not to be profane) no end that I had to input all my company info, including the CC we'd use for the fees but would get no Login until we got our first order.! Of course, if I stepped away (you know, to do ACTUAL orders or to talk to REAL clients), I'd get timed out and have to start over. It doesn't give you any Save option to continue where you left off!! I called about this and Joann confirmed that no, you don't get a Login until your first order which we can't get til we get coverage in. So finally I sat down, determined to get to the page where I could put in pricing for ONE STATE, for a month or so, to see how it went. Well gee... I put all the info in again, with CC and get no Next button, no link to input my coverage and pricing. Some confirmation page popped up with no links then went away!
How do they really think it's tech savvy, logical, or responsible to not provide a login once you've given your CC info? One would think they'd gobble up that info to be used in the future because it would show you're more interested than most, right? Do they really think you can input 100's of counties and pricing in one timed sitting? Most companies would use your email to keep sending reminders to get your pricing in so they could get their money. Makes no business or ethical sense.
I was willing to eat $3 per order to see how it went. I'm am NOT wiling to waste my valuable time FIGHTING with a poorly conceived website and PAY for the privilege.
