Thanks to all who replied. Although, I do not believe that Abstractors should   be obligated to "float" a customer until they get paid by their customer.  This is exactly why I have stopped working for certain companies. The risk is just toooo great .  My biggest "pay" issues have been with  Abstractors who turn themselves into VM  companies in order to cover the entire state  and then do not pay for 3 months (if ever). If they do not have the liquidity to pay in 45 days then they should continue to work  only in their local counties. .
