I just got a new email from this company saying to disregard their previous letter. That they have been reading our emails and heard our concerns. (they probably monitor SOT). They say they are looking into alternative methods to defray the "cost of doing business", as their clients put it, when a cancellation occurs. But they also say that all alternatives seem to impact their vendors. They don't know what their final solution will be but until they devise a final plan, they will continue to do business as usual.
This has been a really great client that pays promply every month. Their people are friendly and they have paid a resonable fee for work. I would sure hate to lose them but like all abstracors know, this is how we feed our families. This company, like myself, can't do something for nothing.
