if anyone else has been asked to do a three owner search for a one owner price?  I spoke with a new client on Wednesday and we negotiated a fair fee for a one owner search with copy costs included.  I put this fee in writing and sent over my information.  Yesterday I received three orders, all stating they were current owner searches and showing the current owner price we had agreed upon, but then below in the requirements 2 prior deeds were also requested.  To my mind this is a three owner search, plain and simple.  When I contacted the client about this I was basically told to pound sand - if I couldn't provide three owners for a one owner price they couldn't use me.  I was more than a little taken aback by the rudeness with which this was delivered, not to mention the complete denial of the facts of our conversation.  I've been in business for a long time and would never agree to such a thing - my time and experience are valuable.  Has anyone else had this experience recently?
