The difference is there, as plain as day...you simply insist on ignoring it. It is you who have lost sight of the issue. An individual mandate to enter into a contract or purchase a particular product is literally unprecedented.

If Congress has the authority to require a person to purchase health insurance, then certainly it can also require that person to purchase such things as health club memberships, multivitamins and condoms. The Constitution simply does not grant to Congress the authority to do that!
