I question whether we really needed more corporate influence on candidates and elections. Now, if a politician does a corporation's bidding, that corporation can reward that candidate by for instance spending unlimited amounts of money running attack ads against that candidate's opponent in the next election. The end result will be even more politicians who are bought and paid for by special interests.
Standing up for the first amendment regarding campaign finance law is all fine and good until you consider the effect that the corporate money megaphone actually has had on our elected officials and our government.
