Sorry, but I have a real problem with anyone of any political party who thinks he or she is "better" than me. Lots of people excel at things that I cannot do, but that doesn't mean that I am "beneath" them. This is supposed to be a nation founded on the principle that everyone is an equal.
Every leadership development course that I have ever taken has taught me that the most important quality that a leader can have is humility; that real leadership begins with an attitude of service. Any true leader worth his/her salt realizes this. Cuomo's remarks, to me, are merely a reflection of the political class' utter contempt for the common man. These people work for us, not the other way around.
As to your comment about polls and focus groups, I think that's more of a commentary on how the MSM tries to use poll results as news stories in an effort to influence politicians and shape public opinion, not so much an indictment of the intelligence of the electorate.
Regards,
Scott Perry
