Might be worth it to file suit... then the suit becomes public record.  At some point, I think that it might be wise to take legal action, even if you know that it could cost you more than you stand to collect.  At least it would give you some personal satisfaction and send a message to the dead-beats out there that you aren't going to roll-over and take it.

And... if you do sue... let me know.  Source of Title would be interested in writing an article about it.  It is a newsworthy topic and many would find it interesting.
