K.C. and Alex both make very good points. There are certainly some very good VMC's, unfortunately, there are so many bad ones that I hate to even lump the good ones into the same category as VMC's. I have been absolutely astonished at some of them... the ones that run up bills with abstractors until they can't find anyone to do their work, then change their name and claim to be a "new company" that is not responsible for the old bills.
I do work for some of the good ones - and I have done work for some of the bad ones. The problem is that it is very hard to tell the difference until you have done work for them for a while. By that time, if they are a bad one it is too late to do anything about it.
