The thing that bothers me the most George is when someone gets really nasty on SOT and bad mouths a company that they have never done work for.
Its one thing to speak about your own experience that you have had with a company, its another to say something nasty when you have no experience with them.
If someone posts a negative about one of my clients and I haven't had the same experience I feel that it is my responsibility to say something about it whether its going to piss off the one who posted it or not.
In the years that I have been in business I have had a number of non-payers, they were cut off, turned over to Collections and turned into Dunn and Bradstreet so it went on their company credit.
I have already had 2 clients call me since Eric's posting to find out the name of his company, which I didn't have, to make sure he doesn't do their work.
Its one thing to do a simple posting about a non-paying client without getting vulgar about it, its another to attack someone who never had the same experience for speaking up and saying so.
