Believe it or not it closed this morning. I got the call to come over to the office to pick up the papers & all there was to record was a deed & mortgage. Not wishing to lose a client I didn't ask any but the most general questions - "are these all the docs you want recorded?? & "are you sure about that??". That was not what I wanted to ask - believe me. They must have gotten title insurance to cover the mistakes, at least I hope they did, but at any rate, my job is to find the mistakes - their job is to fix them. The firm that did the original foreclosure work is a high profile company & they have had to fix all kinds of mistakes they've made.
