You'll find this unbelievable George but at least half the folks we work with don't put their fee or copy cost on the returned search... and some don't even have any identifying marks as to what company/individual it's coming from.  We have a box right on our order sheet to fill in the fee & copy costs but many don't bother with it.  Fortunately we can track who was assigned the order but sometimes we're guessing as to copy costs (which can be in their favor or ours).  Some people are their own worst enemies when it comes to getting paid correctly (Donna not being one of them in our case).
