About a lifetime ago (o.k. maybe only 15 years) I met one of the 2 fabled Hawaiian abstractors. He was a small elderly man with an English accent who's name escapes me ... and he was very tan.

I seem to remember him trying to explain that the job was actually quite difficult because he had to travel between islands ... not much sympathy was forthcoming.
