  I just recorded a set of restated private covenants with transfer fees for a client on a major new subdivision in this county.  They are being up front and complying with the law that requires public disclosure of the matters in the public records. 

  I support the free market, still, and find that this is a reasonable regulation of the private transfer fees. 

  It is actually working on the hippy-dippy Left Coast, which is rare for this side  of the continent.
