Nancy is correct.  The Pennsylvania Department of Insurance will only allow an underwriter to use the word Title in a corporate or trade name in the Commonwealth.  So while my company MidLantic Title LLC is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, I can only use the name MidLantic Abstract Company in Pennsylvania.  If your company was formed in another state with the word Title in it, you must apply for a ficticious name certificate of authority in Pennsylvania that would not contain that evil word.  If you are a purely Pennsylvania operation, just choose a name without referring to title insurance such as Abstract Company, Settlement Services, Document Services, Search Services etc.
