Mr. Engle will be just fine. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind switching places with Mr. Engle for 21 months. Check out the accomodations for the CC, I mean prison he's headed to.

Individual apartments, single rooms and the inmates have keys to their "cell". They acrue good time at 3 days a month. This "prison" generally has a population under 50 at all times. There is no fense, there are no bars on the windows.

For Mr. Engle's part in all of this, I think he got an appropriate sentence at the appropriate place, he won't suffer and he doesn't have to worry about dropping the soap. On the other hand, Angelo needs to head to Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Along with Deutche Bank Execs, Credit Suisse and any members of Congress that voted for the Community Reinvestment Act which essentially opened this can of worms in the first place.

It's all crap! Congress mandated the crap, Lender's created the crap (programs), Mortgage Broker/Banks sold the crap, Borrowers bought the crap, Securities houses bundled the crap and sprayed perfume on it and sold it as lumps of gold. =)

They all played a role, who carrys the bulk of the blame? I have no idea, the better question is, have we learned anything from it?

p.s. Poetic justice would have that IRS agent found guilty of tax evasion and sent to a non-Country Club Fed prison for 5 years.
