Indeed, what a tragic event. 

I hope that none of our members or their families were in harms way, whether living there or visiting.

I don't know much about title ownership and records in Japan, but their records must surely date back many, many centuries, as they constitute one of the old cuttures and are classified as a civilization of their own (meaning, seperate from Asian Civilization).  They are a powerhouse of technology, economy and culture and will surely recover and rebuild. 

Our hopes and wishes are with all who were touched by this tragedy.
