I have a foreclosure law firm for which I complete work, and they want me to fill out their form, listing all information on the title, mortgage (date, recording, amount, etc.) and all liens.  They want me to do this because their paralegals don't want to look at the documents to pull information for a complaint.  Initially, I refused to do this.  The more information you give them, the more you are hanging your butt out there to be clipped.  I finally agreed to fill out their form, when they threatened to pull my work.  I have an extensive diclaimer coverning my butt, and I charge them $25 to type this form.  I did ask them if they wanted me to type the complaint for them too!  We are being asked to do more and more, with no compensation.  I would like to raise my fees, since I have not done so since 2007, but hey, I will lose more clients.  Have lost a few because of my fees, but I tell them they get what they pay for.  Everything is going up but the money we take home.  Have you priced E&O.
