The reason healthcare in the U.S. is so costly, is not because of the so-called blood-sucking insurance companies.  It is because people with healthcare never ask  how much something is going to cost, because they have insurance, and pay a very small deductible.  That is why is cost people with no healthcare pay so much to see a doctor or go to the hospital.  If insurance companies and employers would make deductibles hurt the insured a little more, people would start asking how much something cost.  Just my opinion.  I don't go to medical doctors.  The last time I did, it cost me $600 for a wrong diagnosis.  I could have piled that $600 in the floor and set fire to it for all the good it did me.

And you need to do a little research on Britian and Canada.  Canada is trying at this very moment to get out of national healthcare.
