Yeah...the argument works pretty well. I performed a search for a title company a few years ago. They came back , and wanted another chain of title searched. the additional chain did not show up in the original search. So I told them it was a new search, and to send through a new order form. They became irate, and copied me on an email instructing their accounting department to terminate my services as an abstractor. No problem....just send payment for the search immediately or return the abstract (my property) to me with a letter stating that it had not been used for the closing. They were not prepared for that....they sent payment.
