Nope.  No irony at all.  Those MBS bonds were securitized by Fannie and Freddie.  You can't convince me that there wasn't at least some arm-twisting on the part of the GSEs to boost those ratings.  As far as I'm concerned, Franklin Raines, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and their cronies are the ones who ought to be in legirons.
