We don't work with that particular company, but we have a constant problem getting paid for our copies with other large companies. They get our invoices every month, but clearly they simply ignore them. Every few months, we have to call them and tell them that we cannot complete their orders until they pay their delinquent balance (which is usually the copies).
What I don't get is that we clearly indicate on each order how much we charged for the search and how much we charged for copies. They know full well that we charge for the copies, yet they don't think they should have to pay for them.
Like I said, we just let them know about the delinqent balance and if they don't pay it, we don't do their work anymore.
I am thinking about going ahead and doing their orders, but not including any copies. When they call to ask for them, we'll just tell them that since they don't pay for copies, we aren't going to make any. Maybe they will finally get it.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
