Interesting article. We could see a proliferation of these tiny transmitters which can be placed almost anywhere, many more of them than existing cell towers and apparently closer to ground level.
If cell companies, etc. are going to place them, they will need leases, from the owner of whatever they are attached to, or a sublease from the broadcaster who got there first, even if the site is a public lightpole.
It sounds like lots of new sites could open up... top of a steeple, room in a condo in a tall building, flagpole in front of town hall on land acquired from the Indians. Tall house on a hill (me!) Lots of future title work. :)
