You're welcome, and if there is a PA attorney out there with a comment, I'd be curious to hear it. But, in my humble opinion, I do not see how the laws of intestate succession are applicable to the scenario you described. The decedent (husband) didn't have any interest; thus the home is not a probate asset. The surviving spouse in your example already owned the entire interest. So there is nothing to distribute through the statutes of descent and distribution and the children do not appear to have any interest.
