Well, I appreciate the humorous aspect of this, but honestly, the reason the Indians give us fake names is because we have such a tough time pronouncing their real names!  I have made friends with the owner of one of the Indian companies (who are pleasant, smart and pay their bills, AND smart enough to use local abstractors -- they make their money by getting reports typed CHEAPLY and sending THAT to the clients) and I asked him to please tell me his real name because it's only right that I learn how to pronounce it.

There are good and bad out there and it's not just India.   How many USA-based companies have left us hanging, huh?  We all feel threatened by them -- and justifiably so -- but this is going to happen with or without you.  Rending your garments because they don't know what they're doing, isn't going to stop clients from going the cheapest route no matter what (because I have been told by one of the ultra-big underwriters that it is cheaper for them to pay the occasional claim than it is to pay what USA-based abstractors charge!).   Try to be nice to "John" -- he's trying to make a living, too, and it's not his fault that OUR clients go to the Indians because they're cheaper.  Those clients WILL get what they pay for.....
