My office has not done any work for them as of yet, but I doubt if we will ever receive the first order. I spent alot of time completing their paperwork and spent even more time speaking with their vendor coordinator. However, he is under the mistaken impression that all copies in Ohio are free or only cost 10 cents a page. They want the copies of all the deeds in the chain of title as well as copies of all the exceptions, but they want them for free. In Ohio, any copy that the Recorder's staff has to copy, the fee is $2.00 per page. I tried to explain this to the coordinator, but he said nobody else is charging extra for the requested copies and I have to include them in my full search fee at no additional costs. Sorry, but that is like going to "MdDonalds" and ordering a cheeseburger but only wanting to pay for a hamburger. The copies are the cheese. They are an extra expense and a separate request from the search request and they must be paid for. With all the copies that they are requesting the copy costs could equal or exceed the search fee.
