Just curious. We have always started all current owner searches with an out-of-family deed where there was actual consideration paid without charging anything more unless it turns into a search that covers at least 60 years. We then call that customer and get authorization to charge them the increased fee for a full search before we complete the search. We're now wondering if we should set some limits, like, if we have to go back 25 years or more to get it out of the family, they should be charged something more than a current owner price but less than a full Just wondering what you all were doing in the same situation.
