The liability that local counties take for lack of disclosure is high. I keep digital image copies and email this to them in a traceable manner. There are multiple records showing the error and I make it clear by threatening them with liability if they do not correct the error and note the correction. Hold their bastard, taxpayer-overpaid feet to the fire or they walk all over you.
I've asked this many times: how do you feel about a index change two weeks later that fixes a $2M lien on a lot you searched and certified as correct? Nobody likes to answer this question, save a few like Robert. On this matter, he and I agreed in the past that insurance is your fallback.
