And please, if your county agrees to post error correction dates, and you found a mistake, make sure they do what they claim to do.  Some county clerk employees might try to cover up their mistakes.  As a title searcher, if you find a mistake, it is your responsibility to follow through and make sure it is corrected and that all procedures are followed.

 If your clerk does not notate their errors than a copy of the index is essential.

 And if they don't notate errors then you should blame every mistake you are accused of on them which will help them understand why it is in their interest to marginally notate errors.
