Actually I was pleased to see the reaction of the local residents. I can understand their concern with the possible drug abusers moving into their neighborhood, but their receptive atitude to people who had just had bad luck was uplifting.

Actually since no one in Washington can seem to adequately represent the interests of the middle and working classes I think we may need a third party....The American People's Party.... with the campaign slogan   "What's In It For Me." We are required to pay taxes, but have no control over how taxes are spent. Where do we cut spending? Not with Medicare or Social Security. How about starting with a cut back in foreign aid to our so called allies....Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Egypt....maybe a few others also. Let's spend our tax dollars here in America on our citizens. I for one would like to get something in return for the taxes I pay.
