Maybe the police treat Tea Party protesters better than OWS protesters, even when the conduct is similar. I've seen several instances where police response toward the OWS protesters has seemed to go beyond what was necessary. There's multiple explanations for everything.
Or maybe it's that the OWS protesters have camped out for a month while the Tea Partiers would typically protest for a couple hours and then go home. Perhaps sustained contact between the protesters and police is a factor in the confrontations. Familiarity breeds contempt., as they say.
Whatever the case may be, incidents of violence as been pretty rare and isolated so far and most of the protesters have behaved reasonably peacefully, considering the length of the protests and the number of people involved. So if you fairly judge the behavior of the protesters as a whole, you'd not be concluding that they were violent.
And regardless, I've never made the claim that tea party protesters were violent as a group. I'm sure that some people made that case, and you can take your argument in that regard up with them. That wasn't me. If I make a claim, rest assured I can back it up.
By the way, I didn't say Bloomberg was a conservative and I do not believe that. He's a moderate, in my opinion. Another case of you seeing what you want to see, seeing stuff that isn't there.
