I don't think the outrage comes from the fact that someone is making a lot of money, but rather from the fact that the banks are paying out all of that money... after getting bailed out with our tax dollars.... and to add insult to injury, the banks started increasing already ridiculous fees because they aren't making enough! Seriously? I do find that more than a little offensive.
I share the author's sentiment toward the big banks. Remember, free market and capitalism didn't apply to these banks when they were all failing - they asked the government for a bailout. Any other business (yours and mine) would have just failed... but not these guys, they were "too big to fail." Thus, I don't buy the argument that its a free market and they can run their business anyway they want to... they should have lost that right when they asked for tax money to keep their doors open.
Just my opinion.
