I too just lost a major client over the fee.  E&O costs anywhere from $2500 to $3000.  This  guy has to do 100 searches at $30 a pop, just to pay E&O  not to mention gas,self-employment taxes and etc.  Unless he is load and is using the Walmart tactic to run everyone and than pop up his prices.  I can't  buy the liability for $200000 to 500000 for $30.00 not worth it.  Greed is alive and working well in this industry especially when I see the fees these companies are charging to refinance people.  They make up to $4000 to $8000 and you buy the liability for $30, really?
