These figures of alleged loss are staggering. Based on reports, MERS had less than 50 employees. Given the number of mortgages registered with MERS, where did all that money go? ALTA was 10% owner, right? I would love to get my hands on the financials for MERS and figure out the money trail. Who were the individuals or entities who benefitted most from MERS alleged violations? I wonder if the discovery process will shed some light on this.
