I agree with you Patrick.  I read the Judges' arguments & thought that they were reaching.

I'm not sure what will happen to the closer.  It looks like someone forgot to input correct info on the acknowledgement - but on the other hand - it should have been caught by Registry personnel prior to recording.  They're supposed to check to see that docs are acknowledged & an error of that magnitude means that someone was asleep at the switch.  I just reported a massive recording error involving trust deeds that were drawn incorrectly, that, again, should have been caught by the Registry, but weren't.  That's why we have E&O.
